This article includes a step-by-step guide to configuring and starting a session with ABS enabled, from opening the Tagging App to your first pitch.
Quick sequence: Tag Games → Create Game → choose Official Game or Private Session → set league/level → configure zone (Private Session) → complete session setup → check roster for missing heights → confirm zone updates on first pitch. See detailed steps below.
- Select Tag Games
- Open the Tagging App and select "Tag Games"

- Choose your Session Type
- Choose between Official Game and Private Session.
- If you'd like to configure the zone exactly to your liking, choose a private session. If you intend to use the standard strike zone as defined by the NCAA, select Official Game.
- Set your League and Level
- If you chose Official Game, set your level to "Team Exclusive" and your league to NCAA Team Exclusive to ensure your data is not shared with anyone outside of your organization.
- If you chose Private Session, your league and level will be locked to Team Exclusive and will not be shared. Set your owning organization as usual for either session type and continue.
- Configure the Zone (Private Session only)
- If you are starting a Private Session, configure your zone to your liking by selecting the drop-down menu next to "Static CZ" and changing it to "Height Based SZ".
- Scroll down and configure the zone planes as well. If you chose to start an official game with the correct league and level set, you zone will already be set to the NCAA approved zone.
- Continue through session setup
- Click "Next" and complete the remaining session start-up dialogs, which should all be the same as they were before your ABS update.
- Check the Roster for missing player heights
- On the roster page, you will be alerted if a player you select from the roster does not have a player height, indicated by a small "SZ" that appears next to their name.
- Should you see this, please reach out to the Trackman Data Desk with the appropriate height information for your player/roster.
- Confirm the zone updates once the sessions starts
- Once you begin the session and throw the first pitch, the strike zone tiles in the Local and Cloud Live Dashboards will update to reflect the current zone configuration you've set up. Until then, they will show that the zone is static.
