Trackman Session Review

Trackman Session Review gives you a self-service way to review and correct the metadata on your own Private sessions. Users will now be able to access, edit, and submit metadata changes after the session has been submitted within the Tagging App.

Who Can Access What

Session Review only gives you access to Private sessions. You will not see or be able to edit Official (game) session data through this tool — those sessions continue to be reviewed and cleaned by Trackman's Data Desk as they are today.

Within Private sessions, access is scoped as follows:

  • You can only view and edit Private sessions where your organization is listed as the owning
    organization.
  • If a Private session has already been verified by a Trackman user — for example, because it was actually an official game that was accidentally logged as Private — it is treated the same way verified sessions are treated today, and you will no longer be able to edit it.
  • Only one person can edit a given session at a time. If someone else at your organization already has a session open in Session Review, that session will be locked for you until they're finished, so two people can't make conflicting changes at once.

How Cleaning Your Data Works

From the Team Portal, open Session Review to see the Private sessions owned by your organization.

Select a session, review its metadata, and submit any corrections — the same self-service flow used for official sessions, now extended to your Private data. This tool is very similar in appearance and functionality to the Tagging App Review Page. You will be able to edit any metadata within the session to ensure a more accurate depiction of the Private session.

The Session Review App allows for personalization and customization of the columns shown. Users will be allowed to toggle columns on or off to help navigate to the metadata that is most important to that particular user.

Data Delievery

Once you submit corrected metadata for a session, Trackman automatically re-delivers an updated, unverified CSV to your organization's FTP and updates the API, so your processes (including TruMedia) pick up the corrected version.

  • Delivery is automatic — there's no need to request it, and no email notification is sent.
  • Re-delivery is triggered by the changes you submit. For the best experience this happens each time you submit a session with changes, though Trackman may cap this at a handful of re-deliveries per session.
  • Only the CSV is re-delivered, including all data points from your CSV configuration. Player Tracking and Bat Tracking JSON files are not re-delivered through this feature.
  • Any changes made will be updated in the Plays endpoint of the API within 60 minutes of submitting the session through the Session Review app.

If you have questions about Session Review or need help with a session that isn't showing up as expected, reach out to your Trackman support contact.
