History and Vision in Baseball

Trackman was founded in 2003 in Denmark by Klaus Eldrup-Jørgensen, Morten Eldrup-Jørgensen, and radar engineer Fredrik Tuxen. The company originally developed Doppler radar technology to track golf ball flight, but its ability to precisely measure moving objects quickly proved valuable in other sports—especially baseball.

Trackman systems use advanced radar to track the full flight of a baseball, providing highly detailed data about pitch and hit performance. This includes metrics such as pitch velocity, spin rate, spin axis, launch angle, exit velocity, and projected distance. Because of its accuracy, Trackman became widely adopted across Major League Baseball, as well as minor league systems, college programs, and professional training facilities.

The technology transformed baseball development by giving coaches, analysts, and players objective data to evaluate pitching mechanics, batting performance, and overall player development. Teams now rely heavily on Trackman data for scouting, training, and game analysis.

Looking ahead, Trackman’s vision is to continue advancing sports analytics by delivering even more precise tracking technology, expanding player development tools, and improving the way teams analyze performance. By combining radar technology with advanced data analysis, Trackman aims to help players and organizations make smarter, data-driven decisions on and off the field.
